Reborn

This is the second variation of my contest entry with transparent background and slightly altered overall look

I choose to depict Lara going through and rising above difficulties, becoming this strong and smart female figure that we all know and love. I made the image in sketchy, almost unfinished look, with rough brush strokes that resembles her being in the very beginning of the journey that will shape her character dramatically. Lara's expression shows strength, confidence and dedication but also a glimpse of experienced dread.
I wanted to visualize character in a recognizable but minimalistic way, focusing on telling the story and showing emotions with symbols and metaphors. I put a gun holster with her famous pistols in her arm, barely noticeable, but serving as a glimpse into the future for Lara and nostalgic reminder of past for us.
